So... what dynamic queue did, for those who dont remember;
- Took the ideal of team builder and added on things that we plain didnt want
- made it easier for lower-skill players to get carried
- Became a problem competitively because the system as a whole dilutes the overall skill level of the game by putting lots of lower skill players in higher ELOs.
- Dynamic queue is designed for normals, and has been pushed into draft in general. Theres actually very... little to fix dynamic queue, to be honest. the system as a whole is a failure. It took almost everything we liked and enjoyed about team builder, and added on frustration that we simply dont enjoy.
For those who dont know, team builder allowed you to solo queue into teams with an open position by putting your preferred slot and queing for it. you would then be placed into a group who needed you. From there you would pre-select your champion and talk with your team until your captain put you into the actual queue. THAT is a much better system in general than dynamic queue. the only reason that team builder had a low pool of players was because it wasnt a main game mode; it was an alternative to normals. If riot had made team builder the ranked game mode, it wouldnt have this issue of no one wanting to play and the competitive nature of the game being undermined because unlike dynamic, team builder actually works well with solo queue and duo queue. the concept of it is just much more tuned for competitive play and anyone who played team builder would tell you that aside from the longer queue times, it was a much better experience than dynamic queue.
