Something needs to be done about Zed
He has the number one banrate for a reason.
This has been going on for months, but the last patch only made it worse by giving him free reign to murder all ADCs by having his ult continue through QSS.

Zed's winrate increased by only 1% since patch. Apparently, adcs weren't buying qss anyway, so I'm wondering why everyone is mad about it

People seem to forget that Zed actually has weaknesses. His W CD is above 20 seconds for most of the game - abuse this along with his CDs, I mean there are actually things you can do in lane vs him. Also, he has a strong laning phase because his teamfight is utter trash unless he's fed or opposing team can't peel. In this, he's no different than other lane bullies like LB or Kass. People tend to tilt vs him, that's what you need to avoid, but his ult has counterplay, whereas a fizz, kass or lb can one shot your ADC without any opportunity to react

Removing qss on his ult is a good thing in the long run, no champ should be totally balanced around an item. Sure zed is strong, but with a couple of zhonyas or qss in the game, doesn't matter how fed he is, hence the change to make him more healthy to play in the long run. As someone else stated, we can probably expect Riot to take a look at Zed in the near future as a result
I know how to play against Zed quite well as a support.
Problem is, I don't want to, he's one of the most unfun champions to deal with in the game, even if he can be statistically considered to be balanced, I will ban him anyways until his kit is gutted.
It's not a balance issue as its more of a kit issue he has. He's just inherently rage inducing to play against. Assassins are suppose to be weak early and have terrible wave clear unless they get hydra and he defies it.
I think more players need to learn how to play and position properly when playing against Zed.

There's been a lot of discussion about this and while most people don't understand why they removed qss counter. Many people believe riot did this because they intend to look into zed and if he actually needs nerfs.
If they straight up nerfed him and kept his ult removable he will become unusable. this way if he is oppressive with the current change they can nerf his ult damage wise and there would be little problems due to his ult damage going off no matter what.
he doesnt have the #1 ban rate, not even in NA or anywhere else, where did you get that information?
