We hate ranged champions now. Because they abuse AD items not aimed for them. Ranged champion includes also Mages, who hardly abuse AD items but who cares about that, someone started it with term "ranged champ" and everyone copies it.

Also it is adventurous to look at match history of those complaining. You'll see a lot of Diver mains who abuse Juggernaut, Tank and Assasin items so that they can be tanky, mobile and have good damage, but that is totally fine. :^) There is no mirror around them. Oh, the sweet Hecarim mains running in on ADC being nearly unstoppable, deleting them within second under turret and walking away safely, complaining about bad bad "ranged champs".

But this really won't hit the top Boards topics because I don't blame ADC for one item losing 5 Lethality because it was as strong on Assasins as on ADCs or for one item being centered more on Health than AD because it has been abused by Assasins way too much while being originally Fighter mainly item or for one item having its Passive magic shield reduced because Mage mains were complaining it counters them too much when facing Assasins in midlane.
