Another Top 10 Ways to Break the Meta
If you haven't seen the first list we made, then be sure to check those out first. We'll be back with another 10 after this just to be on the safe side that you all have ways to break the meta and enjoy yourselves.
So we've all seen those online meta breakers, the ones that purposely just do something for the hell of it, and at some point you think "We could do that." Well no more do you have to wait to get the inspiration. With the addition of the new Season 6 masteries and items, it's time again for us to break the meta, while using some rather unconventional methods.
**10. Full Tank
**
If you have the right mind to do this, then you're just asking to be called cancer. Between Grasp of the Undying and Fiora's Vital Spots minigame, she can sustain a hell of a lot more than you'd think. Add in some cooldown reduction through
and
and you can Riposte anything your heart desires. Normal tanks just soak up the damage. Fiora will do this while also blocking it completely, not to mention she still does damage. Yeah, did I mention that it was literally built into her kit. For free? Hit them in the right spot and you'll be gifted with more damage and sustain than a Mundo going 10/0. Add in the juggernaut items and she becomes a thing of nightmares, not to mention she still won't die!
9.
Mid
My God, have you ever seen something so tanky and still do damage? When it comes to the literal term of damage, nothing comes close to the idea of being able to block it. Even Zed can't just go through it, and Zed's pretty strong right now. So, Alistar Mid. What does it do? Well, roaming top or bot makes him a thing to fear at all times, and having a staler in the mid lane means he'll pretty much keep everything held down long enough to rack up money before finally seiging a tower of his choice. Since assassins can't kill him easy, and Mages are forced under tower once her gets enough resistance, it's fair to say that this can be an easy way of simply keeping someone else under control, while also playing your part. Add in a gank heavy jungler, and you got yourself a powerful team of.... ganking.
**8. Jungle **
If it wasn't fitting enough that she could be played in the jungle, I don't know what else makes sense. Use your plants to take damage from the monsters, using your Area of Effect abilities to clear the camps faster than Udyr could when he snorts crack. You don't gank the best, but let me tell you, taking dragon never got safer. Use your buds to ward over walls and ambush from anywhere you see fit, or be the ones on the offensive and take your sweet time waiting for the enemy to get the target low before stealing it with a well timed snare and smite combo. If you feel the need to be a bit different, go ahead and enjoy a bit of tankiness too, seeing as
and
give you a big boost in both clearing and tanking camps.
7.
and
Bot Lane
Abusing the power of money making and long range, Ganplank and Twisted Fate make a surprisingly strong bot lane duo. Between self peel for each of them, a good balance of magic and physical damage, and the fact that they both have abilities that grant bonus gold, a Twisted Fate can act like the Marksman while Gangplank acts like the support. The starting items are clear;
and
respectively, and with that, the game begins. If you haven't been ganked by a pirate and a gambler at the same time, I don't know what's more terrifying. A global ult can make sure you both have map presence, and taking dragon or towers has never been easier. Not to mention, the poke and all in potential of both champions complement each other extremely well. Taking teleport on just one of these guys will be sure to keep the enemies on their toes.
**6. Team of
**
Yeah, not the best thing in the world, but boy if this doesn't get me riled up! Using smite, all five champions have the ability to help take dragon, or steal it, have the ability to steal camps or counterjungle the enemy, or secure cannon minions from a safe distance. Add in a
or
as the actual jungler and you got a team ready to take dragon by the 2 minute mark. Literally, it's that easy. Not to mention Season 5 made it easy for all champions to use smite items by giving us versatiliy, and it really does make one hell of a difference. The Marksman can grab
for attack damage and true damage, the Support can grab
or
depending on if they build tanky or more for poke, and it gives them wards anyways. Top and mid lane can grab whatever they feel, but no matter what, they can also grab the
, as we all know how hard it is to ward nowadays. This leaves room in the team to build together instead of as individuals, and still keeps each and every champion relevant. So go ahead. Ruel the jungle together.
**5. Full AP
Mid **
Gee wilickers, is this champion stronger than you think when built like this. An ultimate with a great Ability Power scaling, that also disrupts, an airborne, for everyone in that meta right now, and really good waveclear. Did I mention that Ebb and Flow will eventually increase in power as it bounces, since Ability Power makes the percentage go from negative to positive once you get a damn
. But that's okay, because now you can deal damage and heal for 3/4 of your own heal in an instant.
makes the bounces slow, while still speeding up allies, and the damage she has scales so well, you can burst other champions down much more than should be allowed. Don't worry though, because you also have a really great way of surviving.
4. On Hit
Jungle
This is a new one that came up pretty recently, but it's still pretty fun. Although you'll need some specific runes for this to work easily, it's a lot of fun once you get it to pull off. Using your passive, you can become a total bully when it comes to ganks, and your ultimate makes it tougher than kumquats to get away. Grab a
with any smite you want and go to town. Also, your passive deals bonus magic damage to those already effected by your passive, which means Sated Devourer is a great buy along with
, which will also keep your health topped off. Thinking of building tanky anyways? Go ahead. The base damages on this monster are high enough that just a bit of attack speed is enough to make you useful on your own, not to mention to your team. If you feel like jungling isn't your thing, don't be afraid to take him top lane too. Almost as cancerous as
up there.
3.
and
Bot Lane
In the same manner as before, these two are literally made to be paired together. Not to mention they love ganks. The more people come in, the more Illaoi can take advantage of her ultimate, and Vladimir can sustain through anything given enough time. When the two come together, they make a heavy pushing bot lane that shoves waves super quickly and asks for enemies to come from the other side of the map to give them kills. Soon enough you'll be seeing these two running around smashing and sucking the health out of everything in their path. Not to mention they have great skill synergy, especially ultimates, and have strong self sustain. Add in a
and maybe a
for either of them, and they will just refuse to die while constantly beating down on you.
**2. Support **
If you didn't think that Ashe could support then you're dead wrong. It literally lists her as a support in her secondary role anyways, so why not give it a try? Combine some specific items and you'll be good to go. You'll need yourself at least these two items:
and
. Why Black Cleaver you may ask? Well, as it turns out, Ashe can shred someone's armor by 30% with just a single attack, because all five of those arrows from Ranger's Focus will deal physical damage, and you all know what that means! Ruin the tanks easy with just a single attack, then let your actual carry go to town. Not to mention those critical slows, allowing you and your carry to safely kite unlike any other. Even
won't be able to handle all that range. Then you and your ally take advantage of Zeke's by simply attacking. That's.... That's it. Just attack and you get rewarded. Don't even get me started on that damn ult either.
**1. AD
**
Between the visual update he hasn't gotten and the gameplay update we all know he's eventually going to get, it's safe to say that you might only have a small window in which to do this last one. However, it's one of the most entertaining thing in the world to do, and with a new class of items for you to play with, this is literally easier than ever before. Combine the following:
and
and those high ability costs go away in an instant. The real damage here comes from a combination of two things though. Percent max health damage and Voidlings. These things have a 1:1 scaling ratio as they hit things, and when you hold someone down with an ultimate, you're effectively dealing damage to them, while doing damage to them. Both physical and magical, Malzahar becomes a walking nightmare that you've never expected, but it gets worse. Now,
gives a whole 20% cooldown reduction, and healing is easier than before since
will heal you for damage those purple little shits do. So yeah, you may have played AD Malzahar before, but Season 6 just bumped it up a whole 85 levels.
I hope you enjoyed this list. Might make some more if they come to mind or work well enough to truly be interesting. Be sure to check out the others from last time, and don't be afraid to list some crazy things you've seen or done with friends. We'd love to see what you've got!
NOTE: Aware that the poll doesn't include the Season 6 Malzahar! If you like it, please be sure to say so in the comments instead.
