What's with this community & dodging queues?

I'm so tired of spending 10+ minutes just to actually get in a match because people keep dodging. I don't understand why the punishment is so minuscule yet one can get perma-banned so easily. And the fact that trolling is so much more common because it's not that harsh of a wait time, absolutely ruins matchmaking. I get that you're in a ranked match, maybe your promos, and your teammates are already arguing or someone's using a troll pick or they're upset they didn't get the lane they wanted. But dodging in blind pick? What's the excuse? I get that many people actually want "dodge forgiveness" so they're allowed to do it w/o punishment. And i can see the reasoning behind it. It's just ridiculous to me that dodging queues has become such a detrimental factor to pre-gameplay. I'd much rather play through a game in a lane I didn't really want than to wait 15+ minutes to get into a new game. I wish people would learn how to have fun in the game instead of taking every match so seriously, as if you need to be midlane or else there's no chance in hell you can enjoy your time playing League. It's sad.
