WotA Saved My Life! Now I Must Return The Favor!

Will of the Ancients is a great item which should not be removed simply because it's hard to balance with Vlad. Other champions can and do benefit from the Spell Vamp it provides, and not just Akali or Mordekaiser.

I play Vel'koz above all other champions, and used to be an unbeliever in the usefulness of WotA for champs other than Vlad. I was pushed into using it in a game by a friend (who by the way uses WotA to great effect on Morgana and Evelynn, and who I hope sees this and posts his stories as well.) and have never gone back.

I remember a specific instance where I know for a fact WotA saved my life. I had a Zed ult me, and I would have died if I hadn't pressed W+R at him across a wave of minions, and received enough spell vamp to survive the zed ult. Disregarding any arguments of "that zed was bad" or "but you could also have (blank)" WotA saved my life in that instant.

Nowadays, in a normal match playing Vel'koz, I go for WotA as my second item. It's an important step towards me reaching my CDR cap, and it's spell vamp helps me stay in lane when everyone and their jungler wants to force me out of it. It's presence in the background has grown familiar, and it's probably saved my life countless more times.
