Viability of Wukong mid?

I think Wukong mid sounds like a really cool idea to use as an assassin. I've been testing him in normals so far. I found lux to be very easy to defeat but I had a lot of trouble with Zed. Is Wukong mid too out of meta? Or is he viable enough to rank to high elo if you master him? What would be some comps he'd be great in and some where it would be a very bad idea?

It's not too bad. Wukong mid always been kinda there on my mind as something to explore.

I consider Wukong very effective at dumping squishy champs. He has an easy click gap closer and what makes him really annoying is after he goes in for some burst he can just clone invisibly to slip away. He's like a more all in, less sustainy version of Irelia.

The advantage of mid lane is there's more squishies there. The disadvantage is the mid lane gap between towers is shorter so it's harder to all in ranged champions. But another advantage is as mid lane you have lots of roam potential. If you go Wu mid tiamat is definitely the item you want. You will probably need to start corrupting potion a lot to get through early levels.

It might not be as reliable as Jarvan mid but Wu is pretty good with the sneaky plays and scaling.

Any more insight on what matchups he'd be good in and what matchups would be bad? Or anything other opinions
