Wait... why would Riot implement a feature that allows you to kick Yuumi when Yuumi only at best buffs you and slows enemies while being untargetable, and at worst just sits there being passive? Why would they let you throw Yuumi off into the enemy team and troll if Yuumi cannot do anything technically negative to you that any other champ can do, which is simply doing nothing? You make no sense.

As for why they might not want her attached, .. she leeches xp, which is often more important on mid laners than marksmen.
However, I agree that she does buff you by passively buffing you simply by being attached.
If she was doing nothing (no poke, heals, or ultimate) it would be frustrating. Or worse, if she was intentionally using her Q and R to take farm.
From a Yuumi's perspective though, it is to the benefit of the team if she is buffing a strong member of the team. On the other hand, she COULD help a team member that is a little behind catch back up. ..
idk, I don't see much problem with this.
