Can someone tell me how MRR works?

I am checking my MRR to see how I can get a better rank at next season at http://eune.op.gg/... ok... so I had a great game with Ezreal doing a 24KDA win... and my MRR went up... then I had another great game with only 1 death and 14KDA with Ezreal again... I took an S- and my MRR went down!!! how is that possible??? If that is how it works then how do RIOT tell me next season that I belong in the lowest tier? Because somehow I will end up there... I know I am not great but I am not terrible at LoL and I know I am good in most ranked games of my tier...

I am currently at bronze 1 (Laugh if you want... I don't care...). Can someone from RIOT tell me how this MRR that will rank me in next season works? My MRR dropped from 1178 to 1143 after a 14KDA game!!! I just need to know one thing... is the site messed up or is RIOT counting system faulty? Because if after a good game I have worse MRR then I get ranked based on WHAT???

I don't care about a video game so much... not that I am embarrassed to be bronze... I have beaten gold players that laughed at me... Division doesn't say much about skill unless you are platinum or higher... but when I play a game I want to be rewarded for my good performances just because this is what a GOOD game does... it rewards it's players for the good performance and for all the good they do and it punishes them for not being able to succeed...

If someone knows the answer about this, please tell me... it's not that I care about my division... but it would be nice to be back in silver after a long time and being able to look on how to get to gold... not for the division... just hoping there will be less of these toxic kids higher up... and I know I can't get to plat... so maybe gold can be the goal... let me know if you have any thoughts about how MRR works and thank you for caring enough to read all this...

The very short answer is, your MMR will always go down with a loss, and up with a win, regardless of your performance.

Its not MRR for first, its called "MMR"

Your MMR is base off of your W/L in Ranked

The more positive your W/L is the better your MMR gets

Let's pretend you started a new account and went 10 - 0

You likely get place Plat 5 base on performance as well (Highly suggest you don't Duo que with anyone because their MMR can effect your MMR) If you're unrank and you decided to play with a Bronze, the System will drop your MMR because you're playing with lower skill players placing you even lower because they think you are playing easier matches.

As you play more game, the game system or whatever require you to have even more positive W/L record to have a high MMR If you have about 50 game played and your W/L is 30-20, your MMR would be above average If you have about 100 game played and your W/L is 50-40, your MMR is now average instead of above average

Because as you play more game, the system wants you to win more game than usual to keep a high MMR, just having more than 10-20 win game positive will keep you in average mostly.

But MMR don't just work on your W/L, it also work on who you're playing with as well If you're Bronze 1 with Bronze MMR and if you play with a Silver 1 with Silver MMR, you will likely boost your MMR while your partner loses MMR because he is playing with you who have a lower MMR resulting in him being the one having an easier match than he should have. And your MMR will increase a bit because you're playing with higher MMR players.

But you must win your matches for these MMR to apply, because if you lose you only drop as you should be. So that's why its better for you to just not play with anyone who have a lower MMR than you, because they can drag your MMR down and you'll also earn less LP.

MMR stands for Match Making Rating

So you'll likely get que with people of same or near MMR So you can be Bronze, but if the system detect that you have high MMR in Bronze, sometime you can get que with Gold if that's where it detect your MMR range is at. Because there are some people out there who purposely dodge game while still keeping their MMR. Or sometimes you just get que with a higher elo person in your Bronze game is because they're boosted and have Bronze MMR or near Bronze MMR

Honestly You should look MMR up on your own
