Is 5v5, I.E. teams planned to come back?

I know it's not coming back this season, because DQ butted in, but is it planned to return next season? I personally have improved in rank exceptionally since the season started, and I would like to be rewarded differently by playing with others without the possibility of losing REAL lp/ranks.
