i think i figured out a way to give people ranked MMR by judging just their skill and nothing else. no longer are you stuck to needing to rely on your team to gain ranked mmr

i think it would be highly entertaining to create this 1v1 mode which would actually give you ranked 5v5 ELO / MMR up to diamond 3

after diamond 3 you can still play, but it doesnt give you ranked MMR anymore if you win. diamond 3 or higher

heres how the mode works. its 1v1 on summoners rift but only minions in the toplane will spawn. and jungle minions do not spawn (no dragon / baron either). and all towers but toplane towers are invulnerable

(also, since top and mid have different metas due to the lane layout. there would be top 1v1 and mid 1v1 gamemodes. no bot/jungle tho)

a player gets 3 bans each. and then blindpick happens after that. champion picked is only revealed after both players lock in. runes/masterys/summoners have 60 seconds to be picked

first to kill nexus wins. however there is also a surrender option after 2minutes if you give up firstblood and wanna ff

winning this gamemode will "steal" mmr / rank / elo from your opponent. and it will be a heavy punishment

if you win this gamemode, you will win about 15 ranked 5v5 games worth of ELO / MMR, and you steal it from your opponent. if your opponent is higher ranked than you then you will also steal a bit extra ELO / MMR from them (in the case that the queue system has to match you against someone better). and if your opponent is higher rank than you, then you lose less MMR / ELO from losing

by making this 1v1 gamemode VERY PUNISHING, you are making it so only people who are extremely serious and competitive about playing this gamemode play it, and they DONT want to lose, there will be no win trading, and if you win at this gamemode then that means you are winning lane against people who are trying their hardest and im sure someone who wins games in this mode CERTAINLY qualify as having a "real skill" above their current rank and they deserve to gain alot of MMR / ELO for winning in this mode. and the ELO / MMR is stolen from the person they defeat

after diamond 3, you can play in this mode but there is no gain/loss of any MMR/elo. its just having 1v1 fun against people of similar skill players diamond 3 or higher can only be matched with players diamond 3 or higher players diamond 4 or below are only matched with players diamond 4 or below if someone is diamond 4 (almost diamond 3) and wins against another diamond 4 in this mode, then the diamond 4 player who wins will likely be promoted to diamond 3, while the person who loses will lose about 15 games worth of ELO/MMR . and then the person who wins would be diamond 3 but he can no longer gain or lose any MMR playing this mode and he would have to go into 5v5 games to actually gain more MMR/ELO

and if he chooses to play more 1v1, then he will only be matched against other d3 players but he wont gain any MMR from it

oh

and there can also be a "normals" version of this 1v1 gamemode. forpeople who want to practice. and that normals version would i guess work with normal mmr / elo, and since its not ranked it would be less pressure for people who want to practice

As we saw from All-Stars, 1v1 is very different from 5v5, and being good at 1v1 doesn't always mean you'll be good at 5v5.

You also have to blind pick, since letting people counterpick would be OP; however, that means whenever you get randomly counterpicked, since nobody else is on your team to deal with the enemy who counterpicked you, you just lose.

No to all of that.

League of Legends is a team game, learning to look past yourself and attending to the needs of others is a must in order to succeed. You are just one player with one champion and when you join a team, you take on the responsibility of helping your allies and they share that responsibility with you.

The game is not about you. Set aside your ego and become a positive influence toward bettering the attitude, behavior, morale, and performance of you and your allies.
