The state of Mordekaiser after Rylais nerf.

I have tried playing Mordekaiser on pbe and on live with the rylais nerf and I have come to the conclusion that mordekaiser is now 100% useless. Even when fed its impossible to kill people because the slow is so insignificant. I usually never build two items with slows but even after trying to replace his 40% slows which he desperately needed with gunblade after building rylais I still was never able to catch people. Azir recieved a buff because of the nerf to rylais and im wondering what you are planning on doing for mordekaiser? Rylais was nerfed because control mages were always buying it and it was too overwhelming but it hurt the champions who relied on it the most.

I played 8 games of Mordekaiser today.

Lost six.

You feel unable to do anything due to the nerf. He could really use some touch ups in terms of base stats. MS and HP/level come to mind.

His late game's been gimped already with the Rylais changes so he could really use a bit of love.

I still play Morde but not nearly as much as I used to after his rework. He went from tanky AP to nearly a pure tank/bruiser. You're not going to win with AP anymore. I've had plenty of games where he got so tanky with 4 tank items, triforce, and gunblade that it takes 3 or more people just to take him down alone. The biggest thing that Morde has against him is his 370 movement speed. He's as slow and slower than ADCs, typically won't ever use a movement item, or if he does its TF which was dropped to 5% MS. Anyone with good movement or push back skills, or realistically 430+ MS will beat him. And his W is only useful if the person or minion he used it on is by his target. If you don't steamroll early with morde you're not going to carry.
