I think Riot is shifting the gameplay to be more mobile.

Looking over at Kindred's abilities and the abilities of recent champs (both new and reworked) I'm noticing a lot of mobility. Even Braum's W is somewhat mobile, as is Alistar's headbutt (If he needs to hit an enemy to use it, well so does Yasuo's E).

And I don't think that's bad.

Now I don't support the mobility of Kalista. I like playing her, but I will admit it's crazy. Besides that champion I think the mobility additions help make the game more fun, with the downside of playing against them as nonmobile champs. But if Riot does rework those immobile champions, they may add mobility or anti-mobility abilities. Tanks are suppose to have some form of CC after all, but the Sion rework gave him a mobile ultimate. It's an ultimate and it's made for initiating teamfights, that is true. But We've all had that moment where we've played or fought against a Sion who used their ult to run away. Of the juggernauts, Garen and Skarner got a big increase in mobility, not fully sure on Darius. And Mordekasier...let's not talk about Mordekasier.

TahmKench's ult is a global taxi and he can store a party member in his stomach for safe keeping. RekSai has a global ult for map presence. If she has enough tunnels then she's pretty freaking mobile.
Ekko has mobility built into his freaking passive. Fiora Q away from everything. Ahri and Diana ults are very mobile from what I understand. MasterYi is god damn Master Yi. Olaf Even Olaf's ult now gives him movement speed.

I'm probably playing at loose strings here. But I bet that many champions (old and new) will gain some form of mobility. The only exception I can think of are immobile mages. They'd probably be filled with heavy CC and damage to shoot at you from a safe distance.

Can mobility be abused? Yes. Ask every Zed'god', ask everyone who plays mid against Yasuo, and just browse the forums for a hate thread on Vayne or Kalista. I bet you'll find one in less than 10 minutes.

But if everyone has some form of mobile or anti mobile ability, then all we need to do is adapt to the change. Know when and when not to CC. I still suck at that, I freely admit that I am not a great player in that regard because I keep failing to CC MasterYi (I hate Alpha Strike like a low health DrMundo hates summoner 14). I'm excited for what kinds of mobility old champions might get. I heard someone suggest turning Pantheon's W into a skill shot slam, which would be pretty cool. Would love to go through walls like Sejuani.

I'm probably wrong, only time will tell.

Edit: If this does happen, I hope they remove summoner 4. Because there is no reason to not take it.
