Is the solo/duo ranked system broken at the moment?

My lp gains and losses are not consistent and I often lose more than I gain. My previous game I won and only got 16lp, but my mmr according to op.gg is higher than my current rank, and also according to op.gg the game mmr was also higher than my current mmr. And I carried that game, I did not perform badly.
