What role should I learn? (Looking for advice)

Hey guys I was hoping I could get some advice on which role to learn. I'm a support player that just hit Plat V and I want to learn a new role; partially because I'm a little tired of support but mostly because alot of my friends are support mains also. The champions I'm most comfortable playing (usually in the support role) are Leona, Zyra, Shen, Rakan, Poppy, and Janna.

In trying other roles I've found I have a couple of issues. First is mechanical skill with champions that I'm uncomfortable with, but I assume I just need to practice on that front. CSing is a problem for me but same deal, practice. The main problem I'm worried about is game knowledge stuff. I've found I really don't know where to go or when to do certain stuff, like when to use TP in top lane etc. Thanks in advanced, and I'll edit post of there's more information.

Go for jungle. Half of them aren't very mechanically intensive and still has play making potential. And you'll learn jungle pathing who h helps you any lane.

If you want to improve I recommend learning mid lane primary and top lane secondary and learning how to lane until you either plateau or are complacent. Then you learn jungle on a separate ID and try to climb up to where you flatlined on your main as a mid laner and a top laner. After that point you will have a better understanding of both laning and jungling and how both interact than you would have had playing either. It is easy to pick up these things this way rather than as some ad or support where you have duo lane dynamics to distract you. If you don't want to improve, play whatever you think looks cool or is easier to meme about

Looking at your comfort list, you like champions that can easily get into a team fight such as divers, hard engages etc. So other champions like tanks or divers would be a good suit for you such as Maokai, Vi, Hecarim etc.

Mechanic skill and CSing is all practice, best advice to learn mechanics is to stick to a small champion pool for awhile then slowly learn some more as more experience with a champion you'll pick up the mechanics as time goes on.

For top lane, most of the time you'll be split pushing, when you acquire first turret you'll look to split push bottom for the rest of the game if your bot lane gets first turret lane swap with them and have them snowball their advantage. Anyways the reason you go bottom is to create pressure on the opposite side of the map, if you have a good champion that excels in 1v1 trades the enemies are forced to send multiple members to deal with you and usually at that point baron is up so your team can easily go for baron as it helps with cross map play, you either split push and win or die and have your team get baron.

For the most part split pushing without TP is an option, but if an objective is going to be up soon that your team wants to contest (Usually Infernal and Mountain drake) push out your lane and group up usually 1:30 before the dragon spawns.

If it reaches late game status group with your team as split pushing generally becomes more dangerous and grouping as five is the best option given if the enemy top laner decides he'll still split then answer.
