Rek'Sai Top

So I just played a match against Rek'Sai in the top lane (as Maokai) and it appears she's a very difficult matchup for anybody without ranged harrass or high burst. If she spams the lane with tunnels and then knocks you up and harrasses anytime you attempt to cs or collapse a tunnel she quite easily forces you out of lane. On top of this, her abilities allow her to get near perfect cs while sustaining through most of your poke.

What champs do well against her top lane? Because it seems like any Rek'Sai player that is decent at tunnel spamming the lane should beat a lot of common top laners right now.

Try someone with either range, mixed damage, or both. Heimerdinger and Azir would be my first two suggestions if you can build a nice team for them, but if not try Jax and Kayle.

Source: I've had almost all positive games with Rek'sai in the jungle.

Tips for fighting Rek: DO NOT FIGHT IN YOUR MINIONS. I know this seems counterintuitive, but her q is going to build fury faster the more enemies she hits with it, and she's going to waveclear super fast doing it. Engage on her, inside her own minions.

Ryze would likely do well, or anyone with a snare, knockup, stun, or just consistent harass (Vlad, how you doing?). Shutting down her mobility jacks her up. Punish her for trying to build fury.

Don't try to vision juke her. It just wastes your getaway time. Just don't. She can see your movements, then hit you with her Q. HOWEVER, if you can get to a bush without her having vision on you, just stop moving, and she loses that. In fact, you can use this to bait her - have a gank sitting in a bush and not moving, and get her to chase. She'll have no idea it's happening.

Her tunnels are always the same distance unless going through a wall where they would normally end. Use this to your advantage, when she tunnels, juke backwards to dodge it, or set the trap for when she comes up.

I hope this helps!

ranged still have trouble with her, as she can quickly close the gap. Its her her overloaded kit that is the problem. She deals too much damage, build up fury, then either deals true damage or burrows and heals risk free. You can try ganking her, if you can catch her before she tunnels away...

any single ranged champion with few exwptions will easilly bully her(and 90% of all no-assasin melees) at top. I currently see realy no reason to play any melee champion top, unless i know my jungler will camp my lane and thus allow me to snowball on a champ like irelia or riven..
