Sona is not an issue. No one is complaining about freaking Sona. You guys are releasing another patch without addressing shit like Diana and Mordekaiser in any meaningful way and we're nerfing a mediocre low A tier support that barely has an impact on the meta. It's actually comical to me that they're like, "We went a little overboard with Sona's buffs," and basically nobody is playing her, but they buffed Nautilus and Blitzcrank last season and they've had high pick rates/ban rates ever since and they've done NOTHING. They're just now getting around to nerfing Leona.
At this point they're embracing the clownery. Nobody can be that ignorant. I refuse to believe it.
people hate supports being playable
It's a tone back of her buff. She was being played as a roaming top laner. The strat was start support item, farm until you get less gold, then perma roam. It's an extremely strong strategy that got zwag to master.

Still this is the people who deleted Tahm and buffed Lee MONTHS ago. No change since then.
At this point it's enough to sit and watch their game keeping going downhill, without even comment anymore about pointless or absurd decisions. But in the end it's fair that even people who don't constantly follow what happens here get informed.
I thought it was curious that they nerfed Sona too. Noone says "oh no, there is a fed Sona, gg".
Sona is pretty average to meh. If anything, she could use a bit of a buff. Nerting her makes no sense to me.

her average pickrate worldwide for top lane: 1 in 300 matches...that is INSANE levels of obscurity and any champion with similar pick rates achieves similar results...especially when played by dedicated players
support currently has 60% win rate and 100 matches
top 60% and 100 matches
mid's funnel strat still has 60% , 300 matches
top 60% 100 matches
top 57% 160 matches
here's another fun question...how many of these matches were played by players that were Master and are in diamond ? That's what's the case with Sona in NA
TFW everyone but one commenter is talking about support Sona when Sona top has been a problem in Diamond/Masters/Challenger, and is the reason she is receiving nerfs.

Riot wants to kill Sona Top. It is a fairly new trend thing that I saw. People are having a lot of success with it do to the buffs. But, with Riot's 200+ years of experience, they are nerfing Sona Top but also killing Sona support with every nerf.
