Like seriously he has a ult that u cant dodge that can 1 shot you atleast you can dodge zoes q. Sure it has more range but in teamfight veigar can 1 shot your tank dealing true damage and finish your entire team. Who thought infinite stacking is a good idea?
Veigar has infinitely more counterplay and has no escapes.
Veigar doesn't have a range longer than Nidalee's.
Veigar's abilities have short range & long ass delays and he takes quite some time to actually start one shotting enemies and before that happens, game ares already decided in this current meta.

To answer your question, because Veigar otherwise has to pray he has an opportunity for his cage. Other than that R he's all delayed, dodgeable shots.
Perhaps don't get caught by the stun and eat a QW then say you got "one shot"? Veigar is all about that full frontal burst.
I used to Main the queen of 1 shots season 2. AP trist could delete people with point and click. EW first target, Point R at squishy, insta kill, W first target fror 600-800 more damage, double.
Veigar is one of the squishiest and move diveable laners in the game.
It's not the fact that Zoe can 1 shot that angers me, it's the fact that she has SO much safety in lane on top of it. The fact that she can get shit like Barrier, Heal, and Redemption while laning on top of the fact that she can 1-2 shot someone by level 6. The fact that she is so safe in lane that she can just sit way behind her minions and zone you away from her by throwing a bubble in your direction forcing you to disengage everytime. The fact that if you catch her out during her ult and CC her, she will still portal back, and can just use a free flash to get away. Veigar has NONE of this safety or hand holding.
