Is there any point in picking assassins anymore?

What happens most games where I play Zed or Fizz is winning lane as long as thier not another assassin, then getting one shot in every team fight before i can get respectable damage down on a priority target, and it happens as early as 10 minutes where if i cant get a perfect combo alot of adc's can very well 1v1 me or atleast avoid death and walk away, everything does far too much damage for assassins to even be viable in ANY part of the game in this current preseason, unless the enemy team has a very specific comp and alot of people are starting to take adc's mid and its an absolute cancer growing trend and I can't stand playing mid lane anymore
