Ethernet vs Wireless?

I used to have wired ethernet connection on my PC and used to have a VERY stable 20-25 ping. I've now moved to a new house with a new ISP and new location, and atm don't have a wired connection and I'm forced to use my Wi-Fi. My ping sits around 45 but very frequently spikes to 150-250 sometimes even as high as 400. I was wondering if anyone new whether this is due to a new location/different ISP or whether an Ethernet connection provides a more stable ping? Any thoughts? I'm not too great with technology so excuse if this is dumb question :D Thanks, -anirataK Only

Ethernet is objectively more stable than wireless

As someone who used to work as a field technician for an ISP I can assure you that a direct connection via ethernet cable (or a plug-link as the next best option) is more reliable than Wi-Fi 100% of the time.

Try power line...

It turns your electrical socket into a WIRED connection.

TP Link Powerline...look it up and tell me that doesn't solve it for you.

I played wireless for a while and had 130 ping. Now with a wired ethernet cable connection its stable at 30

the pings spikes may or may not have to do with wireless, i normally sit at 66 ping and i am also sometimes getting random pings spikes, and i AM on wired.

but that being said.. a hardwired connection is ALWAYS better.

wired is better and more stable, that being said you may find out you still have spikes cause of a poor ISP connection
