For the first time, I think the patch was targeted for ProPlay

I've played this game since season 2. I normally think Riot tries to balance the game around both pro play and your casual play. But since season 4, they keep moving towards the decision to balance the game for pro play more than casual play.

They never bothered to change or rework poopy, but the same day Poppy was played in LCS, riot posted on board how they plan to do a rework. Surprisingly she was not seen since then and the rework has speed down

If you watch the new 5.22 discussion, it's all about how the changes affect pro play. How games don't end quick because it's about starving teams, waiting for buff to respond, how adc can't impact he game early or mid game. How top lane is still an island, how it will force teammates to rotate

All these things are about pro play. I'm only gold 3 but I don't think top lane is an island like back in s2-4. I think it was good, a good hunger could snowball the lane because not lane can't help secure dragon. Adc were weak early game but they were not weak mid game.
