Will Aatrox ever get love?

We were told that Aatrox could receive work during the pre-season which is now gone. I was hyped every patch cycle looking for any changes to him. Will we ever see any changes about him that could bring him out of the current state he is in? I understand he is super oppressive and his kit isn't good for the game, but I'm sure he can be fixed some way.

Sincerely, Someone who really likes Aatrox and his thematics but he just isn't viable so I cant really play him
