Ive been smurfing the past few days, and mechanically wise, there's good bronzes and shit silvers out there (Relatively). So if your friend is bragging to you, hes silver, give him the bird.
Theres some shitters out there in silver which make me wonder how they ever got to silver in the first place. Getting a higher division in bronze would be a blessing.
The current system places you in Silver by default, so it's much easier to start on Silver than it is to climb out of Bronze.
players in bronze are bronze
players in silver might be bronze, (becuase the system is stupid and people new players in silver when the shouldn't be)
but any player in silver who has CLIMBED to silver from bronze there is a HUGE different from him and a bronze.
one of the reason why is quite and accomplishment to get to gold from silver. isn't because the different between gold and silver is very much. its because any player who has just ranked into silver directly from unranked is NOT silver. they may have silver mechanics but they don't have silver game knowledge.
Sounds like smurf is having a hard time climbing silver....
I think the problem is that people can seed straight into silver from a fresh account if they just win over half of their placements. There are way more silvers than bronzies (39% vs 28%). It's actually harder to get to bronze than to silver, kappa.
