@Riot, it's time to look at your past choices and compare them to some more recent ones

Now I feel like i don't have to cite my sources on the recent minion changes that increase the power of the winning teams minions so that lanes always push in their favor. Now I'm not gonna pretend to completely understand the balance of a game as complicated and interconnected as League, the balance team very rarely gets the respect they deserve. Instead were gonna talk about this change from way back yonder in Season 4 (Happy Birthday Trinkets!) when this change was made

Inhibitor death timers reduced to 4 minutes (from 5 minutes) Inhibitors no longer grant a global buff to all minions when destroyed Inhibitors now grant a stronger damage and durability buff to minions in their specific lane

And why were these changes made?

Context: Losing an inhibitor often puts a team behind for a long period of time with few opportunities for retaliation. This was because a downed inhibitor also granted a global buff to minions in all lanes. We want more comeback opportunities for teams who can capitalize on winning teamfights, even with a downed inhibitor.

This right here, sums up why I don't understand the recent minion changes. Why did your philosophy Change? Why, instead of giving the losing team a chance to realistically comeback, are you once again making minions the nail in the coffin? The more recent change however, is even more significant and easier to access early because it scales off of not just Inhibitors, but downed turrets as well, not to mention the experience scaling.

Now I'm not gonna call for an immediate revert of these minion effects, once again I don't claim to understand game balance. All i want is a little context on the philosophy switch that seems to have happened.

Ciao!
