Ranked Splits Rewards

so just saw the nexus and I kind of feel like Split rewards are just forcing a person to play ranked, like I really dislike ranked, but I enjoy end of season rewards like victorious skin, most of the time i get gold at the start of the season and never touch it again, but now it feels like I'm forced to play an amount of games every split to get a reward
