Do you need to call lanes in blind pick

So I just got out of a fucking game where brand instalocked. I got in the fucking game and I asked why he didn’t go jungle. He immidiately responded that calling lanes was optional and as soon as you auto lock you get the lane. He was playing brand which is way more popular as a support anyways. I told him that he needed to call lane and the whole team whales in on me saying they are gonna report me for feeding and toxic which i was just asking why he didn’t cal, lane. I asked the enemy team what they thought and they said it was mandatory and my team began to feed themselves. Fuck this game he also said I bullied him out of his lane by calling mid after he autolocked

while calling is generally encouraged i have never called a lane in blind. i just pick a champ and go. allot of the time people flame at me saying i stole their lane but ya know, it is just a fucking lane. it ain't a gold bar or anything like that. you can share the lane. it is not a big deal. so if you can find a way to ignore the toxic that gets thrown at you for not calling lanes then there is no reason to call a lane. besides in the end it does not matter what lane you pick the end goal is all the same. you get to the nexus. don't matter how you get there.

I’m feeling a mixture of anger and sadness because of how bad the community is now. I’m afraid I’ll get banned under all these reports and I’m not int feeding or trying to be toxic or being toxic from what I see. But brand asked the whole team ot report me and they all agreed “let’s 9x this Yasuo” draven said. “What happened to your main” brand said

To answer your question, there is no rule that says you have to call your lane. However, calling lane is popular amongst the community. Even when I play blind pick. its very rare that someone doesn't follow that community guideline. I would still report someone who instalocks though because despite not being against the rules, it's still immoral and he should know better.

I am a new player, just started this season. Here is my take. (please don't kill the messenger; this is my opinion). Blind pick is where you start to practice and learn. Not bot games and there are many guides with all different ways to play. I believe it's important to pick a lane because each champion has it's the best lane and please correct me if I'm wrong but CS matters and don't we want to teach new people how the game is really played. Not picking lanes causes toxicity; and upset people. If you don't care that's one thing but for the good of the game.. pick a darn lane.
