Teemo Update?

If one were to look over the patch history for Teemo, they would see that after his minor gameplay update, Teemo has received various tiny buffs. It seems apparent that Riot is okay with him as a champion and are willing to nudge him into the scene.

I think it's worth mentioning Teemo's classes: Marksman/Assassin. Teemo was not touched in the marksman update, nor will he be in the Mage update. If Riot decides upon assassins for the end of the year update, will Teemo be in it? I personally like where Teemo is at, but I feel like the whole "ambush and disrupt" thematic could be tuned slightly.

The main reason I ask is because right now, Teemo's mushrooms are in a very awkward spot. Although offering nice utility and area of effect damage, they have negligible impact when an opponent throws down their Oracle Alteration item 3364. Riot has made it clear that they don't want certain champions Zed to be easily countered by an item item 3140 without making interesting interactions, but that is currently Teemo's biggest weakness: an enemy can just use his oracle when his team is grouped to give them a complete immunity to his ultimate for a very big window of time.

tl;dr: Teemo's impact on a game can be heavily mitigated by item 3364, with little options when his enemies use them correctly.

His kit is just very underwhelming outside of his ultimate. His Q and E make him a decent lane bully, and it can have it's uses vs AA reliant champs but outside of that he can't really do anything. Problem is most of his kit doesn't really have much counter play to it other than "stay out of range of it". His abilities are all point and click, so you buff that aspect of his kit people will just complain till the cows come home. His W is just a simple speed boost, which could replaced with something waaay more interesting.

Everything save his ultimate (too iconic to his character) should be reworked to make his laning less oppressive to play against as a melee, and his team fighting should be better than "try to get off lucky shrooms".

His traps should not be disarmed by the light. It makes sense for wards, which are like cameras in a sense, to be blinded by the oracle, but a mushroom that explodes on touch wouldn't be affected at all... Revealed maybe, but not disarmed.
