Solo queue, you have to earn it
So I have been playing league for a decently long time, I even remember the days before leagues and ranking was just basic elo. Back in those days in order to climb the ladder a player had to improve personal skill to dominate solo queue as back there was a real solo queue. For the majority of that time I had been fairly nooby however as I saw my skill growing I began climbing the ladder incredibly fast going from silver 1 to Plat 3 in just about a week and a half completely alone but ever since I took a break from the game and came back to dynamic queue I have been noticing game where I am constantly losing to 4-5 player premades and a large amount of my teamates in Plat elo games have silver or even bronze borders and very low elo past seasons. I'm not saying I'm amazing but I tend to do well in pretty much every game but I have found it nearly impossible to solo carry games like before. I get placed as a solo player with 2 duos against a 4 player pre-made and these things are not the same 2 duos have nowhere near the amount of communication or adaptation go each other's playstyles as a 4 or even 5 player pre-made. When Riot announced they will bring back solo queue I was ecstatic thinking I can go back to when every players individual skill took them up the ladder. Then Riot punched me right in the gut, solo queue is returning for d5 and up. Seeing how below diamond 5 and especially low Plat high gold there is an extreme amount of boosted players and massive premades it's nearly impossible to solo climb to d5. Riot pretty much told me if I want solo queue i have to earn it and to earn it you have to play how dynamic queue wants you to play. Yes I'm still going to play, yes I'm still going to try to climb, but I highly doubt I'm going to be able to get good enough to solo carry against a 4-5 player coordinated team with 4 people I have no real communication with.
