How do I use Zed the best?

Here are some questions to make me a better Zed player.

  1. What Item should i build towards first? ( I usually go Ravenous)
  2. What Keystone should I equip?
  3. What combo is the best (Not ult combo, like should i go w then e then q or something else?)
  4. What ult combo is the best?

Hope someone can post and help me :)!

not going to pretend to be a zed main, but from what my friend has told me rush flat armor pen item 3142 and then ravenous thunderlord's, because it's flat out the best mastery right now redmercy has some good zed tips, you should look him up on youtube! the basic combo is just a W-Q in lane, W-E-Q if you have plenty of energy

Zed is a lane bully and is meant to be played as one, You do not always go for the Q, especially after the nerf, the better way to play him is to harrass with W, E so you can scare them off while you farm, and if they still feel like going after you, you throw a Q in their face.

Thunder lords is best on him because it procs on almost anything he does even death mark, which helps u get that killing potential you need to snow ball.

First of all im just going to say im not that amazing at zed, however i do have like 90k mastery with him so i do know a bit. 1.You can rush the norm item 3142 this will always be your first MAIN item, however some pros do this build item 3144 item 3134 item 3133 item 3142 then you would turn your cutless into a bork, this build will give you more reliable damage and the slow makes you hit your q's easier. 2. Thunderlord's you can easily proc it with your combo.

  1. W E wait for the slow then q. The slow on the e will help you to hit your q's.

  2. It depends, a juke combo will be R W E R W Q this will allow you to juke a lot of your targets abilities, however i like this one more and its easier! You R W behind E W Q, this one will also juke out your target's abilities.

Edit: i recommend for you to watch vermilion, redmercy and azoh that's what i watched when i learned this champ

  1. The item is going to depend on the situation, item 3155 is good vs AP lanes, item 3077 will add you your burst, item 3144 is good for sustain and sticking on a target
  2. Take thunderlords, with your ult you basically proc it twice, it gives you the best burst
  3. W on top of them, E for the slow then Q, swap to W if they are below 50% health and auto them, ignite if they are within kill range.
  4. ult, place a W on top of them, E, Q, ignite, use any active items, this gives you the most damage but limits your escapes, save W if you can kill them without it for the escape.

Also, as any assassin, you don't need to fight your lane opponent, focusing on CS and roaming to the side lanes can often be much better.
