Ups and downs of preseason so far (opinion)

Most people are super annoyed by the changes and there are some ups and downs i want to address and share my thoughts on. Firstly a big down is how completely awful the blue essence change has been, the problem with ip was having so much and nothing to do with it but now the problem is the opposite for newer players that is, gaining a level can take quite a few games even 10-20 and your reward is completely awful and RNG based to the point you usually only get about 500-800 blue essence per level making it impossible to save up for things you want like you could with ip without it taking multiple hours and games to get even a lower priced champ, on top of the fact shards don't lower the price by much and still require too much grind to get but my main complaint with this system is the absurdity of the champion mastery pricing I honestly have no clue what they were thinking, you either have to get lucky and get the champs shard twice or pay more than the champion costs just to get something you already worked hard to earn. And can't forget how pretty much every chest has a champ shard so it's pretty much impossible to get skins from loot at this point. On the upside of things the new runes aren't as awful as I expected aside from the let down that is the bloodlust replacement, for me at least. I know it's early and runes will be tweaked but for starters predator has way to big of a CD so you pretty much go two minutes without a keystone after using it and don't get me started on how broken klepto is, and runes could definitely use a boost in defenses since you get pretty much none from them right now along with a buff to the assassin rune that already no one uses, I forgot what it's called but I haven't seen it in game even once so its obviously pretty shit. It pretty cool seeing ezreal bot being good again but in a completely broken state which ruins it a bit, my biggest surprise is the fact that riot has did absolutely nothing to towers this preseason despite everyone talking about how they obviously need buffs. For towers I think it would be cool if they did a little less dmg but it was true damage along with getting more defense so they don't die as quickly and getting more and more attack speed the more enemy champs are in its range along with the true dmg so tanks can't just sit and tank tower for hours and make them useless or instead just change it so the tower focuses who's currently attacking you so they take tower agro in return instead of the tank doing nothing but standing there. I think the biggest upside though is the press the attack rune, it's pretty balenced, useful and all around a good concept that's working pretty well and is probably my favorite new rune because of that. All in all a lot of changes are still needed as it's still early but as far as preseasons go this one has went really well compared to some of the previous ones.
