Mages now outperform adcs in the botlane

After many games of playing mages in botlane, they heavily outperform their adc counterparts among the reasons having faster power spikes, better harass, and better overall itemization.I mean if that was the intended outcome I am all game but, this doesnt seem to be doing what riot intended.

Riots goals was to open up botlane as well as make ADCs stop having BPS and spiking way too early.

Seems like they got their wish to me.

Its funny af T1 was talking about this on stream yesterday, how only lucian and ezreal are viable b/c they have good non-crit builds (since crit is basically gutted). Ol boy played a bunch of games of urgot botlane won like 4-5 lmao.

The idea riot had of scaling adc's back a bit was good, but the execution seems to have been overkill.

I just think it's cute, there are so many youngins here that don't remember botlane was originally mage territory to begin with. ADCs typically went mid back in the day.

ADCs only started going bot lane because their early game was nerfed, but their late game was insane. Now games end a lot sooner, so ADC power is less prevalent. The meta shifts to adapt. I kind of don't miss ADC being the most important role. Hope it never comes back.
