Explain this

So I've read that after completing your 10 placement games you will always be placed lower than what your last season/preseason MMR was, even after winning all 10. So what's the problem?

I'm a fresh unranked account during this preseason, I wanted to wait until new season starts to play ranked. But one day I was bored and decided to play one ranked game. I was put into a game with bronze/silver and that's what my MMR became because of this one game. Around 1200. So does this mean that I fucked up hugely, because now my MMR for this preseason is 1200 which means that when the new season starts even if I win 10/0 placement games I will still be placed below 1200 just cause of this ONE ranked game I played during the preseason, but if I didn't play that one ranked game I would be placed like Gold if I won 10/0 in the new season

New season you will never get placed below the rank your first placement gets you. Generally, you will be placed lower in actual rank than you were last season, and honestly.... during placements your rank fluctuates too much to properly claim what mmr you are set at until then.

Generally... you will not place gold unless you are a smurfing and win all 10 games and even then you will likely be placed silver 1 or 2 rather than gold. Gold you will climb for, it is not really a given unless you are past it already.
