Op.gg and similar are just mmr estimates, and not your actual mmr which only riot knows.

Most 3rd party estimates are wrong to begin with (albeit usually the right ball park), but they're especially confused around the start of the season because theres relatively few games played post soft reset. Plenty of sources will still be looking at games from before the reset and thinking your mmr is still what it was then.

Actually I've discussed this with a couple of friends and we all came to a conclusion that the ranked system this year seems to be more harsh on matchmaking when you win/lose games. Even on LP gains you could tell it was pretty harsh for example I lost one game -12 LP then lost two more and went from -14 then -15

op.gg does not have your mmr. they can only estimate it, and as expected they make a lot of mistakes.

if you dropped 200 mmr the system would automatically replace you 2 divisions lower at least. so im guessing that didnt happen.

OP.GG is only estimating the MMR it isn't perfectly accurate.
