Blitz or Thresh?

I want to be a support main. So far I have nunu, Rakan, Sona, Soraka. I'm trying to build out my support champs. But I don't know what to decide on. Thresh looks really hard to master but he is good. Blitz is easy and looks good. My friend told me to get thresh but he looks hard and I don't wanna feed. Anybody have any answers??

Blitz. His hook is better and he's easier to play and he's cheaper in BE.

Blitzcrank is extremely focused on grabbing a single enemy champion and killing them, and doesn't do much aside from that. He is the best at picking off out of position enemies making him ideal at lower elos.

Thresh is much more difficult to play but can do a lot more. He can protect his teammates and has much more overall utility. I would have to reccomend trying Blitzcrank first and picking up Thresh later on. Im a support Thresh main so if you want any tips on support or Thresh/Blitz feel free to add me!

Please don't play Blitz. He's very feast or famine and IMO is a cheese champion that has never been good for the game. Thresh takes so much more skill and you'll learn a lot more playing him than just Blitz hooking people over walls.

If you like all or nothing, blitz. If your not really that great at mechanics and timing or making great judgment, also blitz. I don't want to dismiss him as he does have mechanics and skill requirement but a lucky Q from blitz is way more game changing then thresh, and when his Q is shut down blitz tends to feel god dam terrible. Theres reason you see folks pick hard counters when they see blitz picked. Thresh has a pretty cool skillcap but theres some frusturation when teammates misplay off his kit even when your making the smart moves. Ultimately a random Q from thresh is less of a game changer but he has fantastic reliability when used by some one mechanically skilled on him.

Traditionally I'm fond of feast or famine champions but my personal view on blitz dam negative and I feel he is consistently the single most toxic champion to game health as his Q is the most potentially impactful basic ability in the game regardless of items or game time. From level 1 if it lands you might just die and this stays true till the round is over with less counter play at level 2 then 6. If you wanna play him, your kinda stuck hopeing for no ban, or to be a low pick, but as his counters are pretty knowen your stuck with a, Hope they pick first or I'm dealing with a counter or some asshole plays him and I get stuck playing his counter. Thresh does not have this issue so much as his skills are all individually useful and his value to a team grows massively the better you play him.

tldr

Pick thresh if you want your ego to be stroked and never get bored as a support, even in stalemate until jungler presence comes lanes

Pick blitzcrank if you really like being a dick and getting alot of laughs. This is my go-to champion for e-girl support hunting as well.

Both are equally fun. I'd say Blitzcrank has more "hard counters" in particular though.

pick thresh

blitz does not synergyse well with adcs (except draven) and only plays bot because he's terrible elsewere

Pick Blitz if you want to keep your sanity.

Thresh is a really fun learning experience, but he gets a lot of harassment starting out (first 40 games I think). Then after that you'll fly under the radar. Then, if you really master him, you'll hit a one of the worst brick walls in league:

Your team's followup. In Threshspreak we call it, 'why didn't you click the lantern?'

It's a common joke, but there's little as frustrating as losing game after game because you decided to make a clever lantern play which just confused your teammates. And it's hard to resist making them, because they make sense.

Blitz is a LOT of fun in his own right. Just don't hook someone who can engage or instakill your squishy.

Also, tbh, Blitz is hook; Thresh is hook and peel. Try to learn one thing at a time, so start with Blitzcrank.
