Losing ranked to afk's

Why in the world is it fair that you get to lose lp when someone on your team disconnects. I would be fine if it was like maybe 5 for a loss. In my opinion you should get more for winning in that situation and less for losing. It is really only fair. I have lost two games in a row where i was fed and someone left and we just got steamrolled and of course lose 40 LP for two games because of other people.
