Does anyone ever notice the damage reduction from Galio ult?

I have played WW and even played with Galios but I rarely ever notice if they really have damage reduction.

Maybe it's because the damage in the game is so high but I can really never tell if the damage are really being reduce, only one I sort of champion that actually show reduction is really .

Seem like damage reduction rarely matter with all these amount of damage in the game.
