how to use W-build Soraka in lane
note: I'm not actually asking how to play Soraka in-lane. I'm just venting If ppl said I only made threads when I'm salty. I'd say that they are correct. But like I'm legit interested.
How do I tell an adc that I want to healbot their lane?
It's not like I just felt like afking in lane and going W build; I actually had taken the time to custom tailor masteries/rune pages for this one soraka build.
0/18/12 masteries; picking up Windspeakers, Runic Armor, and Perseverance
rune page: 11 AP, 8.2 armor, 33 scaling hp/sec
as a point of reference a build like
at mid-late game can provide an hp regen resource multiplier of +475%, not including masteries so at level 14 Soraka, w/ the lowest base hp regen in the game, would have a regen of around 80/5 sec (18hp/second).
I want to tell someone that -- I want to use my hp as an extension of your hp
-- if he/she pokes for (ex.) 150 dmg and receive 600 dmg in return, that I can heal all of it and make it a favorable trade
-- if I'm at full hp, I want you to poke
-- with a W build, my Q dmg at level 1 will be the same as it is at level 7; they do roughly the same dmg as bananas
-- there is absolutely no incentive to harass with Q if we're both at full hp
-- NO I WILL NOT AUTO ATTACK THE ENEMY THRESH, 40 DMG BANANAS WILL NOT WIN YOU THE LANE
-- if you don't poke at all, that I don't have the range to harass (even if I wanted to) and since the enemy can read fear would force an all-in
-- U don't want to all-in the enemy bot lane when they're both at full hp
-- the enemy team will tunnel vision meh if I try to harass
-- the enemy (insert ranged initiator) will tunnel vision meh if I stand within 600 units of minions, or better yet
-- the enemy bot lane has lost interest in attacking you, but U can't seem to notice
-- I'm not a tank, I do not want to stand near you (unless we're both low and there's a Rengar nearby)
-- my peels are better than yours; I can likely save you if U get caught out, but not the other way around
-- if U don't clear the wave, there is a severely reduced likelihood of winning an all-in in general
--(other stuff that I want to complain about)
Like don't get me wrong, I've had plenty of the games when the adc gets the drift and just goes full rambo, and I get my daily dose of enemy all-chat salt (as the thread entails, this can go both ways). I honestly don't mind if the adc doesn't care about poking and just farms; it's when they go passive and force lost objectives cause they don't want to get poked that makes laning frustrating (watching an adc let a nunu go into melee range to proc relic shield and maybe throw an auto out while we're both that full hp like...come on! No joke, if they remodeled Soraka to look like the base fountain, I feel like I might have more consistent success in lane.
Usually the issue occurs with adc who get outmatched (totally not mah fault nervous Kappa) or are unused to the adc role in general (i.e., playing an off role or using a new champion to him/her). Ideally, they don't wait till the game starts to mention this or demonstrate it in lane or I usually just pick an aggro/sustain support and play my own game. But I'm ~~TILTING ~~digressing.
I also have gripes with having to chase people who are dying during teamfights, but that's a whole different story that I don't want to waste time making a QQ thread about.
