I'd like to draw some attention to the least successful "rework" in league history.

Or, more precisely: I'd like to remind people that Mordekaiser was indeed reworked.

His kit stayed exactly the same, a few numbers got moved around but his role, item builds, and purpose stayed almost exactly the same -and at the same time, he became less viable.

How's that work again?

NemeBro6/17/2015, 10:18:01 PM9 votes

I was expecting to see Zilean.

Minrog6/17/2015, 10:16:15 PM6 votes

It's funny because I tried to figure out which character you were talking about before I looked at your post. Sona? Nidalee? Karma? Soraka? Shen?

So many bad ones to choose from lol. At least we have Sion.

Mord and Veigar just got nerfed, I don't think those were meant to be reworks.

Mandang06/18/2015, 4:01:54 AM4 votes

Still a better rework than Zilean Tristana Veigar

Lugg6/18/2015, 2:14:29 AM4 votes

Morde was a tweak, not a legit rework.

EffectFX6/17/2015, 8:58:54 PM4 votes

If his kit stayed the same, it's not really a rework, just a readjustment of his numbers.

Mordekaiser es numbero,...Ciento venticinco.

Hue, hue, hue?,....

Rico Nasty6/18/2015, 3:22:55 AM3 votes

I was expecting Cassiopeia lol

shadecrapper6/18/2015, 5:26:30 PM2 votes

They waved their hands and said "this is the rework you were looking for" They jedi mind tricked some of us.

ShaftyMegee6/18/2015, 2:08:01 AM2 votes

And then you see a mord 1v5 penta at low hp

Wickedfates6/18/2015, 1:57:34 PM1 votes

Sona

Messaiga6/18/2015, 3:32:17 PM1 votes

I'm very confused? My understanding of the Mordekaiser "rework" was that they barely touched his damage at all (damage slightly lowered on his W iirc), only gave him a few miniscule buffs (movement speed and the ally buff thing on W, attack range on Q) while just reorganizing how his R worked (Morde gains AP and HP, Ghost gains bonus AD). Wouldn't this be a net buff? Perhaps a mordekaiser player could help me understand better.

Morde is less viable? He has a 51+% winrate in mid and an over 50% winrate at top. Seems like he's doing fine.

Oh wait I forgot this is lol boards and since he doesn't have mobility he can't possibly be a good champ. Lee sin, Leblanc and Zed are the only good champions because they are broken resourcless, mobility, freelo champs despite having 40% winrates. Thanks for the circlejerk.

A Miss Fortune6/18/2015, 4:48:52 PM1 votes

I think Mordekaiser is still fairly good, he's not top pick but he's far from the worst too. I don't know, I've seen a lot of Morde mains single handedly carry games.

Kaipop6/18/2015, 5:55:51 PM1 votes

zileans was pretty bad too....

SwiftKitten886/18/2015, 2:17:32 AM1 votes

nid's rework was amazing in every way.. it gave her SOO MUCH more counterplay. she used to just throw spear that woudl take off 3/4 of your hp.. now to deal decent damage she has to pounce in and take her squishy tail into the thick of fights. plus she is more fun to play AS now too.

Davy Crockett6/18/2015, 3:44:03 AM1 votes

Veigar

Occams Raiser6/18/2015, 6:35:50 AM1 votes

ZIL is the worst rework

Dengeden6/18/2015, 7:51:33 AM1 votes

Morde is just a terrible champion that's entirely reliant on snowballing. Sometimes, he even needs to have the enemy jungler feed him to be useful. The removal of DFG considerably weakened his snowball, which is the only way to win with him..

ImHerVoice6/18/2015, 7:56:44 AM1 votes

miss fortune was the least successful.

Even mord can still win lane and games.

The other ones just had numbers shoved into it and stats until it "worked"

Silents4296/18/2015, 8:31:21 AM1 votes

Honestly found him more playable after the changes, I expect the pissy downvoters to hit me now.

I think his rework was just to lower his reliance on DFG and he still will eventually receive a major overhaul in the future.

studentmaster6/18/2015, 10:19:56 AM1 votes

Oh my god was mord ever op in season 2, for the frustration top lane that he brought i hope he stays the way he is forever. Hes still a monster if he gets ahead in the slightest bit. The thing is they left mord basically free win top lane for like 9 months, as a singed main, i will never forget this transgression. BTW, i absolutely hate mord, cause those memories are painful. I am so glad he was nerfed to the state hes in now. My hate for that champ, its terribly hard to put into words tbh.

LostSoul6666/18/2015, 12:39:00 PM1 votes

Still a better rework than Kassadin . played a game yesterday as him and my god his damage is absolutely PITIFUL. As is his ult...

KohaiLuv6/18/2015, 1:33:32 PM1 votes

But then you realize there is still the very rare morde main out there, that can penta kill your team, wait for them to respawn at their nexus and then proceed to do it again. Mordekaiser is a walking paradox. Has no CC, very limited movement, but can still snowball as fast as an akali or katarina XD

BastionKross6/18/2015, 1:53:59 PM1 votes

He was balanced around items that later got removed and then was compensated by being thrown half-assed buffs. Don't get me wrong, he got a better deal than Veigar did but that's not saying much.

The compensation buffs for the loss of DFG were particularly grating. He got a QoL buff to his shield, passive, and ultimate that he should have gotten as a matter of course long before then. And then they added mobility to him that's both highly situational and so weak you can barely tell it's there. The magnet effect is neat, but it's little more than a novelty like Leona doing one less damage to champs with sunglasses on.

Personally, I would be behind any buffs that reward him for building bruiser and being in the middle of a fight. A man in a giant suit of armor shouldn't be afraid to stand toe to toe with people.
