LP - Fixing the Demotion system
Hello league community,
I have been playing this game since Season 2 and the thing I still can't seem to wrap my head around is the way LP works and moving through the tier system. I haven't played nearly as much this season because of how draining it is to lose when things aren't my fault. Granted, some things are my fault. I remember the days when it was win your lane, win the game and you really could carry alone. Not the case today. Its near the end of the season and I wanted to get my flex rank up to gold. Ive been gold in solo/duo for multiple seasons and playing with a friend or two, i figured it couldn't that difficult. Now... I just played a game where my jungler didn't bring smite. I understand shit happens, but he was a level 2 at 8 minutes. Our top lane Darius, WAS DOMINATING. It was awesome. So Hecarim (our jungler) asked if he could come top for some experience. Sure, no problem. Their team starts to come back. Why? Because the 2v2 of their jungler and top laner, vs our jungler and top laner was a total MISMATCH, to no surprise. Basically, we lose the game because of a 4v5 and I got demoted. ALL THE QQs. But it doesn't seem fair. I not only won my lane but was doing my best to carry. We may have had a chance to win, however had it been a true 5v5, it would have been a no-brainer win. The fact that we made it close goes to show how much better my team was than theirs. RIOT, I beg you. Stop punishing players for losing if its not their fault. I get it, people lose, they can't gain points. Im not saying that. But if you lose, and you receive an S Rank, even an A+... Don't demote us. That's just bullshit. You have to win at least 3/4 of your last games to move up in a division, but one game at 0 lp and you lose? How about a demotion series as well. You lose 2/3 at 0 points, you deserve to be demoted. That seems a lot more fair. Chances of you getting screwed like I just was 2/3 games...in league...probably 35%. Ill take those chances. Better than the 100% guarantee like it is now. From a long time veteran of the game, I beg you.
Thanks,
Bergenomics.
