Suggestion: Changing Smite into an item active

Hi folks, from time to time I dislike the fact that as jungler you are kinda reduced to 1 summoner spell. The new season is at least a bit comforting by the fact that smite can now be upgraded via jungle items.

Now to my suggestion, what if we/riot would change Smite into an active for jungle items (e.g. Smite on Hunter's Machete). I know it would buff the jungler as it is at the moment and it may need further adjustments, but maybe it could become a thing for next season.

What are your thoughts on Smite being a summoner spell and that it might be changed into an item active?

edit: to clear things up. I know that the new jungler items already do this and I don't ask to keep them with this change. As said, this suggestion would be for the next season without the smite upgrades.

Jungle items already give smite utility as a summoner spell that rivals a weak exhaust or ignite on a lower cooldown. I think that's a much better system than letting them gank on their first clear with a true exhaust on their kit.

Bad idea. Theres alot of power from smite due to the different jungle items. Changing it into an item active would make the Jungling role OP. Not to mentioned that by turning it into an item wouldn't prevent any player from getting. 5 Players with smites and 2 summoner spells?

yeah cant agree, it would make it available to everyone, then instead of needing a leash you just have two people walk up and boom two smites two buffs and one auto later your gank happy like a fed shaco
