Kindred E bug

Regarding Kindred's E, after casting the spell, if lamb attacks the target for two more times the third attack should direct wolf to pounce on that target. But I've experienced that sometimes if I use Kindred's Q before I auto attack attack a third time, wolf would not pounce on the target after I do auto attack a third time. It happens sometimes even after wolf's or lamb's audio for E cues.
