brand or darius

so, i currently have 7000 ip and was wandering whether to get brand or darius. I love brands burst damage and he has moderately high damage already. But darius has a good range of skills that will stop the target from getting out of his reach. I sometimes play mid when im on summoners rift(which isnt that often, i usually play twisted tree-line of dominion) Judging from that i can play as gangplank (current main) and i can wreck anyone on a 1 vs 1 with a crit build. Although this thread is about brand and darius you could throw a yasuo in the comments because ive learnt how to build critical and yasuo has double.
