Why Flex Queue Put You In A Different Rank

It seems like people have had the wrong impression of Flexq as of the patch last night. Let me clear some things up, so players won't be so rowdy.

Read this - if you want the developer's standpoint. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/7i1WBYXy-update-on-preseason-ranked

Before the little patch we had last night, MMR was all messed up. We had Bronze with Diamonds, and it was just unhealthy as can be. And you might've gotten a higher rank in placements because of it.

What I'm pretty sure they did, was hard reset Flexq (meaning that it's practically like playing on a new account and doing placements.) They didn't want this, so they changed it back to a soft reset and made you do one more placement game, making it so that you're current Flexq rank is closer to what it should be, rather than being sometimes way higher than your current rank, or way lower. Which makes it so that Diamonds aren't playing with Bronze, and Golds aren't playing with a bunch of Bjerg mid laners.

Note - For the newer players to ranked, your placement games will never go up to your last seasons rank, or necessarily close to it. Let's say you finished Silver V in season 6 and you just did your placements. You'd likely get B5, maximum B3.

I hope this helped some people out :).

So if you play at a great level of game play then you can get stuck in bronze hell? I disagree strongly with the pro players that say that sometimes it's not your team's fault for losing you the game. That applies only to the people that actually suck at the game. Bronze holds many delinquents that you surely to God can't carry. It takes one person to ruin a game. They feed an op champ and it is basically good game. You may say that you can counter that game play but that one person can roam and feed off of more delinquents thus destroying any hope of getting out of Bronze. There will be a couple games that go well but mostly there will be too many idiots on your team for you to carry. Your MMR will go so low will not ever earn enough LP to get out of Bronze. I'm sorry but idiots are the reason Bronze is so unlikable. Some don't deserve their rank of lower Bronze but the people that do deserve it will prevent you from getting out.

I just want to say fck this! G3 last night and then Bronze 1 today with NO reason... I know some people who would have brake their computer :p It's a game so i wont do it but i had a prety bad feeling. Like someon give u a gift and and then take it back because he changed he"s mind!

And if it's a politic to make people play more than they also do it's really low spirit! Sry for my english.

No. There is no logical reason for what they did. There is no "making it so that your current Flexq rank is closer to what it should be". There is no "should be". It's a brand new queue and if you did well in it you deserved to be placed well. I personally went 7-3 and still got Bronze even though I haven't been Bronze in years. Wasn't a big deal, climbed to Gold overnight. Then they put me back in Bronze to "fix" the system.

I'm calling bs.

This was done literally just to cater to the Challengers and make sure they all got a free ride while we have to go through hell just to hit Gold.
