Stat buffs mid-channel (for extended duration attacks)

How would an AD buff affect champs like Garen if it was applied mid E for instance? Does the spin calculate the entire duration's worth of damage at the cast or does it scale up if Garen got a buff mid-spin?

Other situations would be like Nunu casting W on a mid-ulting Kat/Malz etc etc...
