Way to improve Devourer
I personally have disliked Devourer. My least favorite thing about this item is the fact that it required junglers to farm a majority of the game to reach stacks a bit safer and easier. Since I disliked this style I wanted to suggest a somewhat more engaging change that Riot could do to the Devourer currently and any further reincarnations.
Devourer +40% attack speed / +15 on-hit magic damage
Unique - Ghost Wolf: A small Wolf follows the user. In combat the wolf applies additional 1 Magic Damage. Each basic attack increases this up to 10 times.
Sated Devourer
_Unique - Phantom Hit: _At 10 Stacks the wolf is consumed and turns this item into the Sated Devourer. {insert usual Phantom Hit Passive here}. After X seconds of being out of combat the Ghost Wolf is separated and respawns back turning the item back into the Devourer.
I feel like since LoL is a lot more snowbally and a faster paced game this would kind of help junglers be more interactive in lanes instead of afk-farming to achieve powerspike. Gradual increase in damage would give this item a kind of Zeke's Herald effect and give AA-Carry type junglers a spike in power where it matters. Could tone down the effectiveness of Phantom Hit to 50% or make it scale with level: 30%/50%/70% or make the stacks cap to 5 on Monsters.
, and to make the wearer gain 0.50 magic damage on-hit per charge stack, when you reach 100 the damage is doubled and your auto attacks will apply the phantom strike for the next 1.5 seconds. In this way we avoid that OP-Ness we all feel about the Devourer and the Jungler doesn't have to wait to get it's power spike, instead he gets a more healthy item.
