MMR

Hey guys never posted before but I am looking for a bit of advice.

When I win in solo Q i get about 8-10lp and when I loose it is -20/-35. I've been told this means my MMR is lower than my division, which means it really must be shit cuz I'm in bronze. So I am looking for tips to raise it.

Right now my win rate is around 52% overall and lately its been around 70%. I have an overall KD of 3.6/1. So nothing too special but I'm not really sure how I am supposed to advance if I need 3 wins to 1 loss to be in positive LP. Any advice would be great seeing as winning doesn't seem to make a difference. I don't even mind being in bronze but it would be nice if my win/losses gave me similar LP.

Its luck man. And to prove that point. It took me over 3000 games just to get into silver. So you will go up, but you have to be willing to keep playing and never quieting, but on the bright side of that. You will learn a lot by going up and down. The one true fact the no one can argue with is you can't carry by your self every match. Its a team base game. Riot made it clear that they don't want a champ to carry them out of matches. They want the players to work as a team.

I'm going to reply even though I can't really help you, so... First of all, the topic title was kind of misleading. If you were asking about MMR I would link you this official Riot page: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752954-Matchmaking-Guide

But you're actually asking about LP. Now I was contemplating my answer for you and was trying to find a webpage to link you so it'd be more simple but then I realized all of my knowledge is about the old ELO system. I have no idea how this LP stuff works!

So I'll just link you a Reddit page where people are having the same problem as you: http://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/2gdadt/i_got_to_diamond_1_won_10_games_straight_won/

Sorry I can't help, but you're not in this alone.
