@RiotReav3s You are Wrong About New Champions and VGU Ones.

> Not sure I get this, currently we have Ezreal, Kayle, Morgana, and 3 other VGUs in early discovery phases, which is quote a bit of VGUs. That being said, we will likely go back to a more even split of New/VGUs next year. > > While VGUs are great, the amount of skins and skin splash art we did this year is not really sustainable and pretty much pushed the team to the maximum (not in a good way). A lot of the Champions we currently have to do VGUs on have A LOT of skins, where as in the past many of them only had like 3-4 skins. > > VGU's also have a cost, where not matter how awesome the VGU and how well it is received there will be people that quite the game because they lost something they love, even if it's better after the VGU. We think this cost is worth it to keep our game holistically feeling fresh and modern, so we don't plan on stopping VGUs anytime soon, but it is a cost for sure. This year in particular we have seen a increasing sentiment of player frustrated at the amount of change that has occurred to the game this year. >

After telling us we would be receiving more VGU and less new champions, we are in fact going back to having an equal amount of new champions and VGU. With more and more players becoming frustrated that their champions are being ignored, new champions are taking time away from older ones, content is being prioritized on specific new champions, and much more . . . . it really makes no sense to go back to something that is just going to be changed again. Players were originally frustrated that there are too many champions in the game. Players are already getting annoyed with champions like Zoe, Pyke, Rakhan and other ones that are basically updated versions of existing champions. Some champions just have abilities taken from other ones (Ivern).

To compare the horrible design decisions this year to VGU is ridiculous. The Developers have come to a place where they know how to do VGU and what players generally like and don't like. There is a massive difference between the very first VGU Karma to what we have been getting the past few years. If Karma had received a VGU today, she would probably still have her fans and shield bomb. They are taking outdated kits/art and modernizing them for today, while not completely changing the feel of how a champion functions. All of these new champions have some sort of mechanic or ability that exists in the game or on an older champion. All of these new champions do not have occult following like older champions do. To sit here and say that it is going to cost them more money and manpower to work on older champions, makes no sense when you can update an existing one with almost the same identity and create new skin for them.

The problem doesn't seem to be you working on older champions. The problem seems to be that you are too cheap to hire new and talented help to make things happen. Players will pay money for skins of their mains and favorite champions that get updated kits and models. The more champions that get added into the game means more time is being taken away from something else in the game that is continuing to be ignored. The game is not modernized to where it is supposed to be. As the lore team continues to build upon the lore of the game and Runetarra, it is just going to be more clear just how ridiculous it is to see an amazing story on their main to see VO, art and a kit that doesn't reflect that.

It's just never ending excuses to never work on what needs to be worked on, but a reason to work on new champions and the same popular champions every year. So no, Reav3s. You guys and your poor decision to change ADC, minion health, Scuttle Crab, the Jungle, and much more gameplay focused things should not be compared to the successful and enjoyable VGU you gave outdated champions. It just seems like you guys are just so stubborn, cheap and afraid to work on what needs to be worked on. We are going to have the same situation next year where players feel like content is not being created for their main, their main is being ignored for art, kit and thematic updates, and that you just care about new champions and popular champions more.

How does the community feel about this? More champions means less content for unpopular and outdated ones, more work being prioritized on newer kits that are out-of-line (already happening with Zoe, Sol, Kindred, Kalista and many more that are considered newer than older ones), and more. We don't care about data that you manipulate to fill your needs, we don't care about your excuses, and we don't care about your favoritism. You have already gotten in trouble for not being able to keep up with skins with older and some new champions. What do you think is going to happen when we have 160 plus champions where only popular champions and specific newer champions get reworks, art updates, and skins every year?

It seems to me your decision to go back on your word about doing more VGU is because you probably have a massive dropping in players because of horrible gameplay decisions you made this year. A kit, thematic and art update/modernization doesn't even come close to the amount of horrible design decisions you made for the game. Just when you finally started creating new skins for older champions that haven't gotten any in a long time, finally working on a new passive for champions like Lissandra and giving Karma the GU she deserved, and much more . . . . means you are taking a massive two steps back to the same bias decision making you had for the past 5 years.
