r/leagueoflegends - While the developers took your highest rank out of your previous 5 roles and set it to your new rank, does the MMR of the highest role only carry over as well?

(This is a Reddit post but I'd like to get more information about this directly here)

While developers took your highest rank out of your previous 5 roles and set it to your new rank, does the MMR of the highest role only carry over as well? Or simply, would the developers just reset the MMR for everyone's new rank universally?

So let's say I used to be Gold 4 in Middle and Gold 3 in Jungle. Let's also mention that my LP gain/loss was +28/-12 for Middle and +18/-17 for Jungle. Does the MMR for only the Jungle rank carry over to my new rank, or do they also consider my MMR for my Middle rank as well? In my opinion, if they only carry the MMR from your highest rank, I would rather want the Middle's MMR and rank (Gold 4) instead.

Has anyone tested this out?

Positional MMR is staying....only the ranks and LP are changing. So you will be gold 3, but if you play mid, you will be matched based on your "gold 4" MMR.
