How I think Riot should address Grievous Wounds
It should be reworked to no longer be permanently on a target or rapidly reappliable and shouldn't straight up negate healing, here are 2 of my rework ideas on it. ** Rework idea one: **removed from Morellos but a new ap item is made with Grievous Wounds. Executioners and Mortal Reminder have Grievous Wounds and it is now an active, same with the new ap item.
Grievous Wounds: The target has a healing absorb shield placed on them for X seconds absorbing Y incoming healing. This does not stack or refresh but if it is reapplied after it wears off within a set time it is not as effective(30% effective?). If the target manages to heal through the absorb shield they gain immunity for Z seconds from Grievous Wounds then take the full healing absorb shield from it the next time it is reapplied to them. If they don't heal through it in the duration then as stated above the next application will be not as effective(30% total effectiveness?).
It is still on ignite. I cant give precise numbers on exact heal absorb, I dont know.
Rework idea two: It is still a passive or on ignite but now it does not just flat out reduce the healing by a lot on one hit for a set duration. It will work a little differently on ignite. The items that give Grievous Wounds would not be stat efficient on their own in terms of stat to gold but in terms of the passive Grievous Wounds.
Grievous Wounds: the target takes X% reduced healing for each stack applied for Y seconds, infinitely stacking. A stack can only be applied once every Z seconds and trying to add stacks while it is on cooldown refreshes the duration. Ignite has it but it does not work with items Grievous Wounds. Ignite instantly applies W stacks for its duration that can't be refreshed or added on to it. When Ignite wears off the target resets to 0 stacks of Grievous wounds.
