Riven Hard to Play after Champion Level 5 With Her (I am noob :D)

So I am a level 27 in League of Legends, not the greatest, but I have really liked the champion Riven for a while. For a while when i first started using her, i was doing really good and was winning a lot of my fights (even against )But once I got her to the max level (Champion Level 5) I feel like I am being placed against harder players and am getting beat in lane a lot( )Is that how the matchmaking works or am I just bad?

She is pretty bad right now, if you really enjoy her then youll need A LOT of practise and youll lose a lot till you get used to every matchup. You could probably win more games if you just spam some mechanically boring champ like malphite by the way. Matchmaking doesnt work that way btw, you are just having a loosing streak, has nothing to do with your mastery of a champion. Good luck!

It's because you have no runes. Riven has bad base stats and is extremely dependant on her scalings, missing out on a potential of +15 AD, as well as other stats cripples her.

Get some tier 3 runes ASAP.

If you haven't already, grab some runes (my Riven [Test] page will suffice). Also, do you know how to animation cancel? If not, I would gladly try to teach you, or you could look at this video:

Like I said I am still learning certain things in the game, Runes I had just never got to. I will be sure to check everything out that you guys suggested. Thanks again :D
